“This was a fun break from the heat (90F degrees in early May!) and the crowds. Be prepared to get a little wet and a bit muddy because the banks of the Arno are soft mud. The tour guide was informative, and you had a choice of either being in a raft with other people, a solo kayak, or a double kayak. He has flip flops you can borrow and waterproof containers for phones etc. There's a lot of construction along the banks, and its a bit hard to find the gravel path down to his van. I experienced a different perspective of Florence being on the river and kayaking…”
